WETHERSFIELD (June 21, 2023) – On June 20, 2023, iCare Health Network’s clinical and education team held a Nursing Skills Day in a community space at The Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Old Wethersfield.
The session began with breakfast and a morning greeting and quickly moved into skills stations for nurses from around the iCare network. Five sessions focused on hands-on skills, discussion and education around new and existing techniques, equipment and clinical documentation.
Some of the topics covered included wound vacs, pulmonary care including CPAP, BiPAP and trach care; IV pumps, pharmacy, Narcan use, thorough and complete clinical documentation, IV skills, catheter care and more.
Feedback was strong and the sessions were considered to be a great day of learning!
