HARTFORD (August 12, 2019) – On August 10, 2019, staff and their families represented iCare at the 2019 West Indian Independence Celebration and Parade in Hartford. The iCare team marched in the parade from Main and Battles Street, ending in Bushnell Park, decked out in matching t-shirts with a One Love theme.
The event is organized by West Indian Independence Celebrations, Inc whose mission is to educate, celebrate and share the history, art and culture of all nations of the West Indies (Caribbean). According to their website, “Through cooperation, collaboration and coordination we work to strengthen each organizations’s efforts to involve and engage the Greater Hartford community in experiencing the cultural diversity of the Caribbean.”
