Jess DeRing Presents on Specialized Long Term Care at Home and Community Based Services Conference

MANCHESTER (August 26, 2024) – On August 20, 2024, Jess DeRing, Director of Operations for MissionCare Health, presented “Creating Specialized Long-Term Care Facility for Justice-Involved & Difficult to Place Individuals at the 2024 Home and Community-Based Services Conference in Baltimore, MD. 

Aging, debilitated and chronically ill population within the corrections/justice system as well as difficult and challenging to place individuals boarding in hospitals and other higher cost-higher intensity sites of care pose a unique and growing challenge to States. iCare Health Network’s MissionCare Health addresses this challenge as the leading provider and operator of Long Term Care for the Justice Involved and Difficult to Place Population.

According to its website, the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Conference is ADvancing States’ national conference that annually brings together state, federal, and local policymakers as well as leaders who administer, manage, and deliver waiver and other HCBS programs.  The purpose of the HCBS Conference is to share practices and policies that improve state systems delivering long-term services and supports (LTSS) for all ages and abilities.
