HARTFORD (September 23, 2019) – On the evening of September 19, 2019, Parkville Care Center in Hartford held its first annual Fiestas Patronales for residents, families, staff and guests. Some 80 plus people attended the event that included live music, a DJ, dancing, performances, an appearance by Miss Puerto Rico of Greater Hartford and the crowning of Ms. Parkville 2019 led by Director of Recreation Katie Jeans.
The food service team, led by Jennifer De’Leon, served up traditional delicacies including Alcapurias, Empanadillas, Arroz con Gandules, Signature Ceviche and drinks like Jugo de Parcha and Coquito. For dessert there was Tres Leche as well as Piraguas with Parcha, Tamarindo and Coco flavors.
