Happy National Nursing Home Week 2018: Volume 1
May 16, 2018
The entire iCare team is excited to celebrate National Nursing Home Week, this week May 13-19th. According to the American Health Care Association (AHCA) website, AHCA established the weeklong celebration in 1967, always beginning on Mother’s Day. NNHW provides an opportunity for residents and their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and surrounding communities to recognize the role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. -
With the assistance of the right circumstance, such as equipment and training, the brain has an amazing ability to re-learn lost motor skills. Recognizing this and the importance of maintaining physical abilities as we age, Fresh River Healthcare in East Windsor has invested in an active restorative program and equipment known as NeuroGym, available to inpatients as well as in the outpatient setting.

iCare and Touchpoints Rehab employ over 400 Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses in our ten skilled nursing centers. They may have a patient in their care for several days or decades of their career depending on the unit, always becoming a part of their day to day life. We honor our nursing staff and the dedication to quality care that they show every day and indeed to nurses everywhere. Thank you for all you do. -
