MissionCare at Holyoke 'Lights the World in Teal' to Raise Awareness and Show Support for Persons with Alzheimer's Disease

The team at MissionCare at Holyoke ‘went teal’ this week to show support for and raise awareness of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, especially the residents of the care center. Light the World in Teal is an annual program held in November as part of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. People and places around the world “go teal” to raise awareness and show support for the millions of people affected by Alzheimer’s. -

iCare Health Network CEO Chris Wright Elected Vice Chair of the American Health Care Association Board of Governors

At an October 4, 2023 meeting of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) Council of States, iCare Health Network President and CEO Chris Wright was elected Vice Chair of the Board of Governors. The meeting and elections took place at the annual AHCA-NCAL Convention and Expo in Denver, CO and the full, elected slate of the Board was announced at the closing ceremonies. September is Healthy Aging Month: Taking Charge for a Fulfilling Life

Every September, we mark Healthy Aging Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the beauty of growing older while emphasizing the importance of taking control of our health. The origins of Healthy Aging Month are credited to a television special that inspired people to make lifestyle and dietary changes to prevent heart problems. The show received the American Heart Association’s Howard Blakeslee Award. Many campaigns followed, including the distribution of books, brochures, videotapes, etc.
