For the three years in a row, Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield generously donated 50 wrapped gifts for the residents of Touchpoints at Bloomfield. As is the case throughout the iCare Health Network, Touchpoints at Farmington had several Christmas events for staff and residents, including a staff potluck with deep fried turkey care of John Zazzaro, the Farmington Middle School chorus singing for the residents, a trip to Fantasia Lights in Hartford and Gifts from Santa. -
On December 16, 2019 members of iCare Health Network’s leadership team visited the lobbies of all 11 iCare care centers to check out the Christmas decorations. The care center teams take the decorating contest much further than the lobby and much further than snowflakes and tinsel. Two residents and a handful of staff form Touchpoints at Chestnut went to the Wadsworth Antheneum in Hartford to tour their annual Festival of Trees and Traditions. According to the Wadsworth website, established in 1973 by the Women’s Committee as a museum fundraising event, Festival of Trees & Traditions has become an annual holiday custom for visitors from throughout the state and beyond. To kick off the Christmas season, the residents and staff of 60 West made gifts for the residents and staff of each of the ten other iCare care centers and delivered them in person on December 3rd. Christmas is a very big deal around the iCare Health Network and the pace of festivities will soon be gaining speed.
