On September 26, staff and residents from around the iCare Health Network convened at 60 West in Rocky Hill for the annual iFair. The iFair happens each Fall and has moved around locations, spending the last two years at 60 West. Each iFair has its own fun theme, often tied to Autumn events like football, Halloween and Fall leaves. This year’s event, however, was all about music.

In keeping with the themes of National Recovery Month, multiple iCare Health Network care centers have been holding celebrations of what it means to be in recovery. Chelsea Place held a Celebration of Recovery Dinner with special guest speakers. The care center staff pitched in to serve the meal. Chelsea residents and staff also took a day trip to Elizabeth Park to enjoy the weather. The Silver Springs team had their own Recovery Celebration in the Silver Bistro.

With the help of the residents, Touchpoints at Bloomfield celebrated National Recovery Month by putting together a resident-led information table about Recovery Month in the front lobby. The center’s iRecovery Counselor Janice Lapage provided the team with information to distribute to staff, visitors and family members and ran a  discussion group for our residents and staff. iCare Health Network will be holding an all day RN Hiring Event on September 11, 2019 at the corporate office in Manchester for opportunities throughout the Network. Interviews will be conducted on the spot, if so desired. The Touchpoints at Bloomfield Food Services team participated in Windsor Senior Center’s Summer Celebration on August 15th.  Said Food Services Director Paul DeMaida, ”We prepared breakfast for 75 here at the facility and then delivered it to the senior center where we stayed to serve the local seniors.
