Fresh River celebrated ten Veterans with a celebratory breakfast and speech proclamation to thank them for their services. Rosanne, our recreation director, put this all together, and our creative Dietary manager cooked them a wonderful breakfast. We were lucky enough to have our First Selectman, Jason Bowsza, to not only come and show appreciation to our veterans, but to present them with personalized certificates for their services in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Silver Springs' Lynn Webster Retires from iCare After 41 Years of Dedicated Service

On November 5, 2021, Silver Springs’ Lynn Webster, RN, retired from Silver Springs and iCare Health Network after 41 years of service. Lynn began her career at Silver Springs in May of 1980 in the dietary department. She worked in various roles throughout the center, including as a charge nurse, nursing Supervisor and several years, up until her retirement, as a Regional Nurse Liaison. During the first week of November, the team at Parkville Care Center celebrated the retirement of two long tenured members of the team with two parties. Those retiring were both Certified Nurse’s Aides (CNAs); Joanna Marchand, after 32 years of service and Gwendolyn Johnson, after 34 years of service. Halloween 2021 Around the iCare Health Network

Many Halloween and Fall-related events were taking place around the iCare Health Network. Trinity Hill Care Center held an absolutely wild decorating contest among the staff and residents of the different units, creating a totally interactive haunted house. Touchpoints at Manchester took their residents to the pumpkin patch with the hope of a glimpse of The Great Pumpkin.
