On July 20, 2021, teams from Touchpoints at Manchester and Westside Care Center through a Summer party and picnic for residents and staff on the campus.  The event included fun in the sun, food, crafts and music. The central campus parking area and patios were closed down to make room for festivities. The weather cooperated and brought a day full of bright sun and clear skies.  

In early February 2021, the Touchpoints at Manchester team received Vera’s Story, an eloquent testimonial from a grateful resident. It reads: “I could not speak or write to communicate. The staff at Touchpoints took the time to read my lips and understand my gestures. They showed me so much kindness with no judgment. They took care of me. My fears began to fade. 24/7 nothing was too big or too small. Each and every one of them gave me their utmost attention and respect.”

On December 29th, the staff and leadership at at Touchpoints at Manchester held a retirement celebration for Joan Gallichant, capping 40 years of dedicated service as a nurse at the care center. According to Cristina Lazure, Director of Nursing, “Joan is one of a kind nurse and without a doubt she will be greatly missed. Many Halloween events were taking place around the iCare Health Network, as if 2020 wasn’t scary enough! The team at Touchpoints at Farmington held a Halloween costume parade for the residents today. Costumes and the parade made it possible to keep the spooky Halloween spirit while maintaining social distancing.
